WOMEN’S GROUP
Our congregation is once again partnering with the El Dorado County School Nurses Association to gather hygiene items, make bags and fill them for the county school nurses to distribute among the schools. When children feel good about themselves, they do better in school, experience less bullying, and have higher self-esteem. Last time we did this project, St. Stephens donated 100 bags! The Wednesday Women’s Group will coordinate this effort thru August. We have 100 toothbrushes already donated. The list below gives specific brands requested. It is im-portant to have little to no scent in most items due to allergies. Wal-Mart usually has the lowest prices. Hotel size items will not work for this project but if donated we will make bags and take them to local women’s shelters. If you prefer to make a cash donation to the project, the Women’s Group will gladly purchase needed items. Dona-tions may be placed in the offering, just be sure to mark “hygiene.”
