In the fall of 2016, St. Stephen’s voted unanimously to become a Reconciling in Christ congregation. What does that mean? It is all in our Welcome Statement:
St. Stephen’s is a Sanctuary for all—
an open and loving people who provide a safe and welcoming
spiritual home. All have opportunities to worship God, learn
and serve others. We welcome all who seek God’s love and
grace. We welcome all because God welcomes all regardless of
race, culture, all sexual orientations, gender identities,
or relationships.
Our unity is in Christ.

Many of us have family and friends who are GLBTQ and have suffered abuse and rejection in the Church. Some of us identify as Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual, Trans, or Queer. We are a Church that seeks the participation of the whole body of Christ, not just a select group.
Psalm 67:3 Let all the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you.
